John and I are taking a breather after the wedding ceremony.  The flowers are orchids and white roses.

The Phillips' Wedding

On the blessed day of Jan. 3, 2004, John L. Phillips and María E. Len-Ríos were joined in holy marriage before their friends, family, and God.

The day started innocent enough--it was off to the hotel buffet for breakfast.  We met our friends who had flown in from all of the United States to join us for our special day.  

After breakfast, María was pretty much sent off to the beauty parlor to have her hair set in rollers.  Panamá is notorious for its humidity.  John, as is customary, headed off to the gym after running some errands.
